About Me

Gurubhyo Namaha !

I, Sneha Kulkarni, started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 7 in Mumbai and got my Visharad Degree from Bharatiya Sangeet Samiti. I participated in various dance drama programs while pursuing my Visharad Degree and after completion I joined “Maharashtra Ki Lokadhara”, a famous dance group by Shri. Shahir Sabale and performed all over Maharashtra and for Doordarshan Delhi. “Maharshtra Ki Lokadhara” was telecasted all over India and the group produced various well known artists in Marathi Play and Film Industry.
I continued my journey of learning Bharatanatyam in Vazhuvoor style under Guru Vidushi Hemalatha Prakash at Shruthilaya School of Dance, Bangalore for many years. I performed in various dance ballets under my Guru such as Ashta Lakshmi, Ramayanam, Dashavataram, Trimurthy Vandanam, Shringara Narayana etc. I also learnt Carnatic Classical Music from Vidushi Mahalakshmi from Bangalore.
While learning in Bangalore, I started helping my Guru in conducting dance sessions, preparing students for Arangetram; and then started my own dance school in Bangalore which I continued for 3 years before moving to the United States.
My passion for dance and teaching continued in the United State in the form of Nrutyarpan Dance School, which was established in Edison NJ from 2009 and then in West Windsor, NJ from 2014. Since then, Nrutyarpan has helped many school kids to develop keen interest for learning and practicing the art of Bharatanatyam.
